Celtics sign free-agent F Murphy (AP)

The Boston Celtics signed free-agent forward Troy Murphy on Wednesday. Murphy began the season with the New Jersey Nets but was traded to the Warriors last week. Golden State bought him out, and since then he has been coveted by several teams -- including the Miami Heat. Murphy said he chose Boston because of its style of play.
