This is what I like to imagine Richmond looks like right this very second: VCU students pouring out of bars into the street, chants of "We want Butler! We want Butler!" ringing out, a massive ongoing unorganized celebration by a group of fans taken on the most remarkable run in NCAA history. This is how VCU students should be spending every waking moment: just freaking out.
Then, on Thursday night, VCU students and fans should be packing the nearest car they can find -- carpooling is teamwork, and what better example than Shaka Smart's Rams? -- and driving said car the 21 hours and 39 minutes it will take to get from Richmond, Va. to Houston. Who cares if you can't get, or can't afford, a ticket to the game? If you're a VCU fan, you have to at least be in the vicinity this weekend. Once-in-a-million trips to the Final Four don't happen every year.
In other words: Road trip, bros! Epic!
Man, it would be fun to be a VCU student right now. Holy cow.
