David Lee Knocks Out Wilson Chandler's Tooth, Sidelined With Infected Elbow

David Lee David Lee will miss the next two weeks for the Golden State Warriors due to a nasty infection in his left elbow, reports Jeff Goodman of FOXSports.com. Lee was hospitalized Thursday morning after waking up with excruciating pain in the cut area. Marcus Thompson III of the Contra Costa Times reports that Lee will return to the Bay Area to have surgery to clean out the wound.

The infection stems from the Warriors' Wednesday game against the Knicks in what was Lee's first return to Madison Square Garden since leaving New York in a July sign-and-trade. Lee's elbow collided with the mouth of Knicks forward Wilson Chandler, cutting the Warrior and causing Chandler to lose a tooth.

Apparently, immediate medical attention didn't prevent bacteria from taking over. Lee's elbow was cleaned and wrapped in gauze Wednesday, but it was a bloody mess out there. Lee ended up with 28 and 10 in 40 minutes, and Golden State won.
