- Vince Carter says he wants to play a couple more seasons. That sounds like a threat.
- Matt Scribbins of Magic Basketball looks into the concept of Pythagorean wins and tries to figure out why Orlando seems to come up short in reaching those predicted wins.
- CSN Bay Area reporter Matt Steinmetz now has a podcast. His first guest was HoopSpeak.com's Ethan Sherwood Strauss. They discussed the lockout and their never-ending debate of Monta Ellis vs. Steph Curry.
- Justin DeFeo of Nets Are Scorching talks to Oz Davis of BallinEurope about Deron Williams, Besikitas and Bojan Bogdanovic.
- Holly Mackenzie of The Score talked to Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Derrick Williams. Lot of good quotes in there from Derrick about playing with Ricky Rubio, his favorite moments of the NBA and some thoughts on rookies dealing with the lockout. Including: "Yeah. If they told me I was going to miss all 82 games next season I would have stayed in college and enjoyed myself and enjoyed all of my teammates and everybody else who is involved with Arizona. I definitely would have went back."

- Sebastian Pruiti continues his excellent scouting reports of the 2011 draft picks with Brandon Knight.
- The Knicks have sent out a promise to season ticket holders that any missed games because of the lockout will be refunded. Kelly Dwyer makes an excellent point about the overall meaning of this. "I realize I'm arguing on behalf of people that Archie Bunker would call "muckety-mucks," as I ignore another phone call from a long distance number asking me to pay my bills, but these situations are worth bringing up. If the New York Knicks -- run by an owner who is more out of touch and oblivious than perhaps any other owner in pro sports -- are worried about these things, then things aren't going well."
- Jonathan Abrams is quickly becoming my favorite part of Grantland.
- Allen Iverson can still contribute to an NBA team if he's willing to accept his role. But is that feasible and even worth trying?
- Episode 10 of HoopSpeak Live is on at 5pm ET today. Guests will be John Krolik to discuss his new pop culture site and Rafe Bartholomew to discuss his book and other basketball related topics.
