This was no recruit that Colorado State had signed. It was apparently Miles hinting that he had signed an extension with the school, and according to Andy Katz, the contract now takes him through the 2016 season.
That's great news for a team that won 19 games while going to the NIT this season. The Rams with Miles in place hope to make a push toward becoming a program that consistently finishes in the upper half of the Mountain West Conference, which will undergo a makeover in the coming years. The league loses BYU and Utah while adding Boise State next season before changing up again the following year. That should allow the Rams to establish some consistency while some other teams are in transition.
Miles has managed to energize the program not only by increasing its win totals since coming from North Dakota State, but also by using his personality. His program has been on television in the form of a reality show, where Miles is able to show off his humor and even swear up a storm.
The three-year extension gives Colorado State and its players a sense of stability now that Miles has established himself as an up-and-coming coach. Tweeting out the autograph on his contract was just another sign of how his program is an all-access one.
It's now gotten to the point where people want to see what he does next.
