Aston Martin AMVOX2 DB9 Transponder timepiece

It was only a little over a year ago that we ran into Aston Martin?s Director of Design, Marek Reichman, when he dazzled us with a demonstration of the Aston Martin transponder watch made by Jaeger-LeCoultre, and now we have the third generation timepiece to come from the grand partnership of Aston Martin and Jaeger-LeCoultre. This is the new AMVOX2 DB9 Transponder timepiece, a new limited edition watch priced at $24,400 and aimed at the distinguished owners of the Aston Martin DB9.

We’re going to skip over the specifics of the watch for a minute because the coolest part of this timepiece is the fact that it has the ability to "open" and "close" the doors of the vehicle, which basically means the driver can lock and unlock his doors with the press of a button. Press the two buttons at the same time and it kickstarts the "Find Me" feature of the timepiece/DB9 duo which enables the headlights of your DB9 to light up for a few seconds, allowing the owner to find his vehicle at a glance.

The rest of the timepiece is something to marvel at as well as it is in-cased in grade five titanium and features a black dial with a grille-type motif. The numbers on the piece are rhodium-plated metallic and are set against a luminescent black substance. Completing the look of the AMVOX2 DB9 Transponder is the "floating" DB9 logo placed in the center of the window.

Dang, 007 would be so proud.

Press release after the jump.

LeBron James Wears Fangs During Game

LeBron James fangs

LeBron James
is viewed as some kind of villain by many, and now, those anti-fans have a visual to go right along with that perception.

James had the Halloween spirit during Friday night's home-opening win over the Magic, sporting a mouthguard complete with clearly visible fangs attached.

Naturally, the NBA Twitter crowd was all over it. The first picture up top is via @jose3030, and the one below giving us a closer look was posted by CNBC's Darren Rovell, who is likely correct in his assertion that James will receive a nominal fine from the league office for this particular form of personal expression.

Allen Iverson Officially Agrees to Play in Turkey

Allen IversonAllen Iverson has officially agreed to a two-year, $4 million contract with Besiktas, a professional team in Turkey. Rumors of negotiations have existed for weeks, but Iverson's management confirmed a deal was in place with a release Thursday.

Iverson and Besiktas officials will hold a news conference Friday in New York.

"He's ecstatic," Iverson's manager, Gary Moore, told the Associated Press by phone. "He's very excited, very happy the people in Turkey want him, the people in Turkey appreciate what he brings to the game, and he can't wait to get over there."

Iverson, 35, heads overseas after spending 14 season in the NBA. The No. 1 overall pick in 1996 was a four-time scoring champ, winning the MVP award in 2001 and climbing to 17th on the league's all-time scoring list.

However, after bouncing between four teams in the last two years, he seems to have worn out his NBA welcome, failing to draw a single contract offer or even a training camp invitation this fall.
